Former Shark Tank India judge Ashneer Grover has hit back at an X user who suggested that he donate his estimated Rs 900 crore fortune following controversial comments made by his wife, Madhuri Jain Grover, on wealth, poverty and family size.

The exchange came after Madhuri Jain Grover's remarks on the reality show Lock Upp 2 sparked a heated debate online, with many social media users accusing her of oversimplifying poverty and speaking from a position of privilege.

What did Madhuri Jain Grover say?

During an appearance on Lock Upp 2 , Madhuri Jain Grover shared that she and Ashneer Grover had wanted to have a third child but were unable to do so.

She then spoke about family size, saying that many affluent families have three children and that the "Hum Do, Humare Do" concept does not apply to everyone.
