District Election Officer (DEO) and Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief Commissioner Maheshwar Rao on Wednesday clarified that no notice was issued to Bharat Ratna awardee Professor C N R Rao in connection with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bengaluru Urban district's Malleswaram Assembly Constituency.
The clarification came after media reports claimed that a notice had been served on the eminent scientist over a discrepancy in his name in the electoral records.
