Beyonce sparked a fan frenzy on Tuesday morning over claims she was on Roker beach, along with husband Jay-Z and the couple's children, on the day she brings her Renaissance tour to the city, Sadly, they proved to be false as she didn't actually land in the North East until hours later.
After months of waiting for Queen B to take up residence at the Stadium of Light, the day is finally here for tens of thousands of people to descend on SAFC's ground to see her. The Renaissance tour began in Europe earlier this month, with the first show of its UK leg happening in Cardiff last week.
Beyonce made the switch from Wales to Scotland, to entertain a packed house at Murrayfield at the weekend and now its time for her to descend on Wearside, returning to Sunderland seven years after she went down a storm on her Formation tour.

Beyonce confirmed her arrival in Sunderland with the changing of the location in her Instagram bio. Sunderland being at the top of Bey's Insta profile was something fans never thought would happen and then things took an even more unexpected turn, when a call came into Steve and Karen's Breakfast Show on Metro Radio to claim that Beyonce, her famous other half, children and bodyguard Julian were taking a stroll on Roker beach, around 7am.
A Beyonce fan who headed straight to the coast to try and catch a glimpse of Beyonce confirmed the rumour to ChronicleLive, although they didn't manage to see her.
It also became quite a talking point on Twitter, with one fan posting: "NA apparently Beyoncé was on Roker beach 7am same time I was this morning !!"
Twitter account North East Live Traffic posted a clip of their feed, writing: "I think we can just make out Beyonce and Jay-Z at the beach," to which Steve and Karen replied: "There they are!! We can see them," but with a laughing emoji.
Sadly, all the fuss was over nothing, as Beyonce and her entourage landed in Newcastle shortly after 1pm.
