Beyoncé is returning to Cardiff for a huge gig this spring as part of her Renaissance tour. The superstar has announced that she will play at the Principality Stadium in the Welsh capital on Wednesday, May 17. The Renaissance tour, her first solo shows in six years, follows the release of her seventh studio album of the same name and will also call in Edinburgh, Sunderland, and London.
The Crazy in Love star last performed in the Welsh capital in 2018 with her husband Jay-Z opening their combined world tour On The Run II, bringing the city to a standstill. She also visited as part of her Formation tour in 2016.
And while official general release ticket sales don't go on sale until Tuesday, February 7, most of the city's budget hotels are already booked up. Find out all about the ticket prices and pre-sale schedule, here.

But with the cost of everything from food to fuel having gone up since Queen Bey's last visit, how do the ticket prices for her 2023 tour compare to her previous visits in 2018 and 2016?
In 2023 the coveted tickets range from £50 and go up to £170 for VIP. We have the full breakdown here.

Unsurprisingly these tickets are more expensive than her previous tour. In 2016 prices for the Formation tour ranged from £25 plus fees to £150 plus fees. In 2018, with husband Jay Z in tow, the prices were similar, with the lowest price for tickets were going for £25 the highest were £160 per person. But then there were VIP tickets and they were going for £210 - £415 per ticket.

WalesOnline have also approached promoter Live Nation to clarify whether the Renaissance tour tickets will be subject to 'dynamic pricing', that's when ticket prices fluctuated depending on demand. As yet there's no information on whether they will be as yet.
Queen Bey is yet another megastar to announce she is visiting Cardiff, with Harry Styles and Coldplay also bringing their tours to the city in June 2023. Harry's Love On Tour shows will take place on June 20, and 21 2023, marking the first time the former One Direction star turned actor and solo artist has performed in Wales. Tickets will go on general sale on Tuesday, February 7 at 10am. There will also be several pre-sales to access.
O2 presale will run from Thursday, February 2, 10am - Friday, February 3 6pm.
