Beyoncé fans have been left fuming after her forthcoming album Renaissance was reportedly leaked online and in store two days before the official release date.
The pop megastar's highly-anticipated seventh studio album is due to come out at midnight on Friday morning ( July 29 ) and leaks of the 16-song album were instantly shared online, according to Variety.
The media outlet also reported that CDs were already being sold in Europe, with fans on Twitter also claiming physical copies of the album were in stock in the US but not available until Friday.
Hit single Break My Soul, which is the only song from the album to be released to date, surged to the summit of the Sky VIP Official Big Top 40 for four weeks and is currently sat in its highest position to date in seventh place in the Billboard Hot 100.
However, the news of the alleged leaks did not go down well with her loyal fans, affectionately known as Beyhive.
One fan said: "Who tf is doing #RENAISSANCE leaks!! Can’t y’all hold your horses for 2 days!"
A second Twitter user commented: "I know y’all ain’t listening to no leaked #RENAISSANCE tracks…"
A third wrote: "I’m calling all BeyHive. From now on we don’t tweet or discuss the leak! We just need to be positive and wait for Beyoncé’s planned release date.
"The leak in question is very low quality - and will not be a good indicator of what the real #RENAISSANCE is. Wait until Friday."
In a rare Instagram post, Queen B opened up about the process in making her first studio album since Lemonade in 2016.
The 40-year-old superstar also shared the artwork for the album cover, where Beyoncé can be seen almost naked as she sits on top of a see-through horse. She is adorned in silver jewellery.
She wrote: "Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world.
"It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving.
"My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration.
"I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are."
