Beyoncé fan travels to Edinburgh from New York as it's cheaper than seeing her in US

A dedicated Beyoncé fan travelled across the pond to Edinburgh to see his idol perform - and says it's cheaper than buying tickets for her New York gig.

Chinedum Enyinna flew over 3,000 miles from New York and bought Beyoncé tickets for Edinburgh and Sunderland, and still argues that the two tickets are cheaper than just one in the States.

Speaking to Chronicle Live, said: "I went to Edinburgh on Saturday and now I'm in Sunderland so I'm seeing her twice. It was a lot easier to get tickets in the UK than the US, and a lot cheaper.

"So I've always wanted to come to Scotland and northern England and it's just another excuse to take a trip. It's been great, it was wonderful on Saturday, I'm excited for tonight as well!"

As the Chronicle Live reports, the loyal fan says it was easier and cheaper to get tickets to the UK gigs than it was back in the US and he got to visit a part of the world he'd always wanted to.

The tour kicked off in Sweden last week before Beyoncé touched down in the UK, with her already playing in Cardiff and Edinburgh - where Chinedum saw her on Saturday.

Over 50,000 members of the Beehive, the name given to Beyoncé fans, descended on Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on May 20 and despite the showers, Queen Bey put on a show that had everyone belting.

Videos online show the Scottish crowd singing Love on Top, and all those school assemblies must have come in useful because the pop sensation looked gobsmacked as her audience hit the high notes in unison.
