Thousands of lucky fans were able to secure a ticket to see Beyoncé perform in Cardiff - but some had a nasty surprise when they went to book their accommodation.
Queen Bey's tickets for the Welsh capital went on general sale this week, after pre-sales tickets were snapped up last week. Eager fans faced long online queues to ensure they could see the Crazy in Love star when she takes to stage in Cardiff, which is just an hour's drive from Bristol.
After the sales, people rushed to book accommodation for May 17 and some found the cost was sky-high. Twitter user 'Smithy’ said he was horrified to see a quote for a staggering £9,508.54, reports MEN.

In his tweet, he wrote: “£110 for a Beyoncé ticket, £10,000 for a hotel near the venue. How is this legal.” He attached a picture of the booking for the Ibis Cardiff Centre for two guests from May 17 for a one-night stay.
His followers were quick to point out that it is common for accommodation to spike on nights when there’s a big event on, such as the Eurovision which saw Liverpool prices exceed £1,000.
“Hotel Management people are going straight to hell. They did the same thing for Eurovision. Some even cancelled prior bookings because they wanted to charge more,” one said.
Another Twitter user seemed to be getting a similar rate when searching the same details on Booking.com saying: “Went and looked for myself and honestly just disgusting, Ibis hotel that shouldn’t even be more than £70 a night?”
Accor, who manage Ibis, have said that the booking quote was an 'error' and that it has now been rectified. If you search this date on the budget hotel, it comes up with “no longer available for the dates requested.”
A statement from the company read: "We have looked into this and can confirm this is an error that has now been rectified, the hotel is actually closed for bookings at the moment and will be on the concert date."
