It's that time of year again as The Late Late Toy Show airs live on RTE One this evening.
The Toy Show has become an unmissable event since its first edition aired in 1974. While initially aimed at children, the spectacle has become adored by young and old alike.
Every year, 'A' list celebrities show up to add a little bit of star power to the show. And in the past, plenty of sportspeople have appeared on the show much to the delight of the kids and the crowd. Ahead of tonight's show, let's take a look at some of the most memorable sporting moments on the Toy Show.
Katie Taylor
A lovely moment from 2019 when boxing superfan Ella was surprised by champion of the World Katie Taylor.
As we've come to expect, Katie was pure class during the appearance.
She brought along all of her title belts and even held the pads as Ella threw a few punches in a class moment.
Robbie Keane
Ireland's record goalscorer popped into the RTE studios in 2013 to share a lovely moment with football fan Domhnall.
Keane had been recovering from injury at the time, so his appearance was very surprising.
Poor Domhnall was completely starstruck as he met his hero in one of the Toy Show's most famous surprises.
Davy Fitz
GAA fanatic Michael got to meet the legendary manager and former hurler Davy Fitz back in 2018.
The two got on like a house on fire and it's clear to see that Davy really enjoyed the chat.
Davy and Michael even teamed up for an RTE Show afterwards!
Rory McIlroy
A classic Toy Show moment and a classic set up.
Charlie Smyth from Cavan was showing Ryan Tubridy a golfing video game.
Of course, Charlie was playing as his favourite player Rory McIlroy.
Cue a surprise appearance from the golfer, cheers from the crowd and tears from around the country.
Here's hoping for more moments like this later on this evening.
