The best setting spray can be the difference between a base that survives a sweltering commute, humid beer garden and evening plans, and one that has all but disappeared by lunchtime. Even if you've carefully prepped your skin with one of the best primers, a reliable finishing mist is what helps lock everything in place when the heat is working against you.
Not all setting sprays are created equal, though. According to professional make-up artist Dani Guinsberg, “A good setting spray will help keep your make-up perfect for hours.” There are plenty of different finishes – from dewy to matte – but the key, says Guinsberg, is to “make sure to choose the right one for your look.”
