Best Prime Video top 10 shows — here’s the top 3 series to binge-watch this week (March 11-17)

As another wave of fresh titles arrives this month, it’s the perfect time to catch up on what’s just hit streaming. Prime Video’s charts suggest viewers are currently hooked on mystery-heavy dramas and twist-filled storytelling. The demand for suspenseful, adrenaline-fueled entertainment is clearly strong, and as someone who loves a good mystery, I’m glad to see the genre leading the pack.

Naturally, “Fallout” and “Cross” would make the cut here, especially given how strong their second seasons are. But with both shows holding steady near the top of the charts for weeks, we’re turning the spotlight to the other titles climbing Prime Video’s top 10. To make things easier, we’ve gone through the rankings and highlighted the ones actually worth checking out.

This list is based on the Prime Video top 10 U.S shows as of Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

Best shows in the Prime Video top 10

‘Young Sherlock’

Sherlock Holmes has been adapted for the screen more than 250 times, a staggering total that’s even earned him a Guinness World Record as the most portrayed literary human character. So when Prime Video announced “Young Sherlock,” a series focusing on the detective’s younger years, my excitement wasn’t exactly high. But once I sat down to watch it, the show proved to be a pleasant surprise. It delivers a thrilling, fresh spin on the familiar world, confident enough to explore new ideas while still respecting the spirit of the original character.

Set in 1870s Oxford, the series follows a rebellious 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) who has yet to become the brilliant investigator the world knows. When a murder at the university leaves him under suspicion, Sherlock must clear his name by uncovering the truth behind the crime. Teaming up with new allies, including a young James Moriarty (Dónal Finn), he begins investigating clues that lead far beyond campus.

‘The Gray House’

Projects based on real events already have a natural hook: they’re inspired by history. “The Gray House” clearly benefits from that appeal, which may help explain its rapid climb into the Prime Video top 10. The series becomes even more compelling because it shines a light on a lesser-known story rarely explored on screen. Executive produced by Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman, and starring Mary-Louise Parker, Daisy Head, Amethyst Davis and Ben Vereen, the historical drama is worth checking out if you’re drawn to untold stories and forgotten figures.

“The Gray House” is an eight-episode historical drama set during the American Civil War. The story follows Elizabeth Van Lew (Head), a Virginia socialite living in Confederate Richmond who secretly aids the Union. Working alongside her determined mother, a formerly enslaved ally, and a courtesan with access to powerful circles, she builds a covert intelligence network operating inside Confederate territory. Using coded messages and trusted contacts, the group gathers critical information from within the heart of the Confederacy.

‘56 Days’

One of Prime Video’s latest thrillers, “56 Days,” delivers a gripping eight-episode binge. Billed as “a unique crime story and a riveting, sexy, psychological thriller,” it thrives on the chemistry and tension between Dove Cameron and Avan Jogia, while scattering clues that keep viewers guessing. The series occasionally leans into melodrama, but the unfolding mystery is so compelling that it’s hard to look away, making it a standout addition to the streamer’s recent lineup.

“56 Days” follows Oliver Kennedy (Jogia) and Ciara Wyse (Cameron), who meet by chance in a supermarket and quickly begin a passionate relationship. The story alternates between their whirlwind romance and a later investigation when, 56 days after they first meet, police discover an unidentified decomposed body in Oliver’s luxury Boston apartment. Detectives Lee Reardon (Karla Souza) and Karl Connolly (Dorian Missick) retrace the couple’s brief time together to uncover how events unfolded.
