Best Perks to run in BO7 Warzone Season 2

Choosing the best perks in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 can be the difference between getting wiped early and consistently reaching the final circles.

With new perks shaking up the meta and several fan-favorites rebalanced, building the optimal perk package now depends more than ever on your playstyle, squad size, and map positioning, whether you’re playing Battle Royale or Resurgence. We break down the best perks to run in BO7 Warzone Season 2, explaining which options are top-tier in each perk slot and how they synergize.

Perk 1 Slot

Perk Effects
Drill Instructor – When you sprint for more than one second, you will start health regeneration.
– You and your allies that remain within 25 meters of you will gain a 3 percent movement speed and 15 percent faster mantling. This buff will last 10 seconds after moving out of range.
– Cannot stack with other Drill Instructors.
Scavenger – Dead enemies drop a pack that supplies additional ammo, equipment, and plates.
Surveyor – When nearby enemies within 120 meters use a Buy Station or start a Contract, they will briefly appear on the map.
– UAVs that you use will have a 20 percent larger radius and your mini-map is zoomed out by 20 percent.
– Downed enemies will be visually outlined through walls within a 40-meter radius.
Mountaineer – Increases the height before you would take critical fall damage by 5 meters.
– You can use Combat Roll to further reduce damage by 10% and avoid the movement penalty from high falls.
– Increases ladder climb speed by 15 percent.
Field Medic – You revive others 25 percent faster.
– Your bleed out duration is increased by 25 percent.
– When you revive another player, they auto-equip one of their plates and gain 5 percent movement speed for 3 seconds.
– When you are revived, you auto-equip one of your plates and gain 5 percent movement speed for 3 seconds.
– Resistant to Flash, Concussion, Gas, and Shock equipment effects.

If you’re playing with a squad, I highly recommend selecting the new Drill Instructor and Field Medic perks. Go with Drill Instructor if you want speed and mobility, or choose Field Medic for a more defensive, team-focused playstyle. Coordinate your roles so one teammate runs Drill Instructor while another takes Field Medic. Surveyor is also a strong option in trios or quads, giving your team extra situational awareness.

For solo players, Mountaineer is a good choice, especially if you’re fighting around rooftops and vertical terrain. Meanwhile, Scavenger has now fallen off, as it no longer drops cash from eliminated enemies. You’re better off restocking ammo and armor through supply boxes purchasing Munitions, Armor, or Utility Boxes at buy stations.

Perk 2 Slot

Perk Effects
Sprinter – You can use Tactical Sprint.
– You can reload while tactical sprinting.
– Reduce penalties for movement when reloading and using equipment.
Reactive Armor – Your armor regenerates up to 100 percent of your maximum if you have not taken damage in the last 2 seconds.
– When your armor breaks, it will generate an EMP effect. This will not trigger again until your armor is full.
Quick Fix – Insert plates one-handed. (This allows you to hip-fire when plating)
– Immediately start health regen upon eliminating enemies or inserting armor plates.
Bomb Squad – Reduce explosive and fire damage from equipment and killstreaks by 45 percent.
– You can spot and hack equipment through walls.
– Highlight equipment for your squad when you ADS.
Altertness – Sense enemies that are within 30 meters of you.
– You can sense when you are being aimed at.

Sprinter remains the go-to perk in the second slot, granting Tactical Sprint and a huge mobility boost for quick rotations and aggressive repositioning. It also reduces movement penalties while reloading or throwing equipment, which is clutch in close-range fights where every second counts.

If you’re looking for another option, Reactive Armor is a solid pick. It slowly restores armor after you avoid damage for a short time, helping you conserve plates, especially in late-game circles when buy stations are gone and ground loot is hard to come by.

Perk 3 Slot

Perk Effects
Survivor – When your armor plates are full, gain one-hit protection against ballistic weapons.
– Your health will start regenerating after 4 seconds.
– Your allies will revive you faster.
Adaptive – When your plates are not full, gain a 10 percent movement speed increase.
– When your plates are full, gain improved ADS speed and sprint to fire speed.
– Gain an audible warning when in close proximity to trap equipment.
– Traps you set off will be delayed.
– Gain the ability to reset fuses when you throw back a grenade.
Tempered – When refilling armor, it takes two plates instead of three.
Ghost – Become undetectable from all enemy UAVs while moving. Advanced UAVs will show location but not heading.
– Lack of movement for 1.5 seconds or more will disable Ghost.
Tracker – When shooting an enemy, briefly outline them based on range.
– When an enemy downs you, automatically ping that enemy.
– Gain the ability to track enemy footprints. When you shoot an enemy, others can see their footprints for 10 seconds.

For the final perk slot, I suggest picking Adaptive if you want to push your mobility to the next level. Pairing Drill Instructor, Sprinter, and Adaptive creates an exceptional movement setup that lets you outpace enemies in close-quarters fights.

If you prefer a safer approach, Tempered is an excellent defensive option that helps you stretch your armor plates further. Survivor is another strong pick for defensive players, especially if a squadmate is running Field Medic, allowing for faster, clutch revives when it matters most.

As an AR-SMG main, I stick with Drill Instructor, Sprinter, and Adaptive to maximize mobility. This perk combination lets me rotate quickly across the map and outmaneuver opponents during hectic close-range fights inside buildings and tight rooms.
