While the best beauty advent calendars treat you to makeup, skincare, and haircare each day of December, fragrance advent calendars reveal an olfactory delight behind each door.
From Jo Malone to Boots, these indulgent countdowns can introduce signature scents or new special occasion favourites. And while houses like Diptyque are a tour through its roster, retailers such as John Lewis offer a tasting menu of different brands.
Yes, it might be August, but the waitlists for all the major players are already open – with pre-orders looming for most of the heavy hitters.
To help you keep your finger on the pulse, I’ve picked the key fragrance advent calendars that you’re going to want to be keeping tabs on, from Boots to John Lewis. Scroll on, and get excited.

Jo Malone advent calendar 2026: £375, Jomalone.co.uk
Jo Malone is nothing short of a monarch in the fragrance realm. Among the most coveted beauty advent calendars full stop, its 25 day fragrance offering will cost £375 with an overall worth of £597 for 2026. Sure, it’s not exactly affordable to begin with, but rumour has it that the brand’s signature scents feature heavily this year.
- Worth: £597
- Number of days: 25
- Number of products: 25 (one full-size)
- Advent calendar highlights: Lime, basil and mandarin body and hand wash, tangerine and honey cologne, ginger biscuit scented candle
- Available: 10 September for pre-sale, 11 September for general sale
Boots scent advent calendar: £90, Boots.com
Boots is keeping its cards close to its chest so far this year, with only a ‘sneak peek’ available on their website. However, this is what I’ve been able to deduce: the ‘Scent’ calendar will have 12 windows with 12 products, featuring big names like Neom, Givency and Kayli to name a few. Plus, given it’ll set you back £90 but is worth over £350, this is one of the most bang-for-your-buck options on the market.
- Worth: £357
- Number of days: 12
- Number of products: 12
- Advent calendar highlights: Neom candle, Givenchy, and Kayali
- Available: Waitlist sign-up available now, official ETA undisclosed
Diptyque: £N/A, Diptyque.com
Okay, I’ll hold my hands up. Where a Diptyque fragrance calendar is concerned, I’ve had to be a little bit more speculative. It is certainly coming, but we don’t know when or what’s going to be in it... but, everyone loves a mystery, right?
Last year’s offering featured 25 scented treasures, including (but certainly not limited to) the Sapin (Pine) candle 70g, Baies, Feu de Bois, Ambre, Roses, plus signature miniature Eaux de Toilette/Parfum and body care.
John Lewis: £99, Johnlewis.com
Huge news, huge. For the first time, John Lewis is launching a 12-day fragrance advent calendar costing £99, but worth more than £300. It’s filled with a vast array of scents to spice up your festive season, from Acqua di Parma and BDK Parfums, to Frédéric Malle, Jo Loves, Kilian Paris, and Maison Margiela. Although details are still pretty thin on the ground, pre-order is officially open – watch this space.
- Worth: £305
- Number of days: 12
- Advent calendar highlights: Memo Paris, Essential Parfums, KILIAN PARIS and Frederic Malle
- Available: From 21 September
