Best FIFA 23 Ultimate Team start guide including starter nation, SBCs and FUT Web App

With the FIFA 23 Web App being released today, players will soon be able to begin building their FIFA 23 Ultimate Team squad.

FIFA 23 will officially be released in the UK and worldwide on Friday, September 30, 2022. EA Play subscribers, or those who pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition, can get early access to the full game from Tuesday, September 27, 2022. But, players can begin building their FIFA 23 Ultimate Team squads on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from around 18:00 BST, with EA Sports confirming the launch of the FIFA 23 FUT Web App.

EA Sports has also confirmed that the FIFA 23 FUT Companion App, the mobile app version of the FUT Web App, will be released tomorrow (Thursday, September 22, 2022). The FIFA 23 FUT Web App and FUT Companion App will allow players to begin their FUT 23 journey before the full release of the game. Players can use these platforms to build their FUT 23 squads, access the FUT Transfer Market, select their starter nations, complete SBCs, buy and sell players, and more in preparation for the full launch of the game.

But starting your FIFA Ultimate Team journey can be a daunting task, with decisions to be made around starter nations, which SBCs to complete, which players to sell, which players to buy and much more. So, what are some of the best tips for getting the best start on FIFA 23 Ultimate Team?

Mirror Football spoke to prominent FIFA trader and content creator @donktrading, who gave us some tips for how to get started in FUT 23 and optimise your new squad!

“Starting a new FIFA can often be a challenging task if you don’t know what you’re getting into, so I’m here to help you get that perfect start," Says FIFA trader and content creator @donktrading.

"Firstly, you’ll be given an option to pick a starter nation for your club. Pick either England, France, Spain or Germany. These provide key links for SBCs.

"Secondly, you’ll be gifted some returning player packs if you're a returning FIFA player from last year's title, FIFA 22.

"Open them straight away and keep any 83+ meta starter players (good stats & high market price) and sell everything else.

"Next up, you’ll want to complete all the introductory and advanced SBCs. These SBCs give great packs back for completing them and are worth doing as soon as possible.

"Use a website like FUTBIN, which has SBC solutions, to help you in completing these. And remember, sell everything from packs unless it’s a meta player rated 83 or over.

"Next, FUT will only be accessible on the Web App until September 27, so you won’t be able to play games until then.

"All you can do from here is club management, open packs and use the transfer market. I highly recommend learning a trading method and using that to grind the market. You can find free trading method guides on my Twitter and Instagram.

"If you start on the FUT Web App and there’s no way to load FIFA points to it, I would advise you to sell all of your valuable cards before the 27th.

"The launch of the early access through the Ultimate Edition release will bring huge supply to the market and may impact prices!

"If you happen to start your FUT 23 journey on the full game, it's largely the same advice as above. However, you can now play games and if you pre-ordered FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, you'll get 4600 free FIFA Points.

"If you have any points I would highly recommend opening packs with them as soon as possible and selling everything.

"I also wouldn’t hold onto any players, as you used to do during early FUT Web App days. Supply will be much bigger. Finally, you can get more help throughout the entire year by following me on social, @donktrading on Twitter and @futdonk on Instagram.

"I will continue to bring guides and tips all year. See you guys on the pitch!”
