Top family-friendly restaurants in Newcastle

Name: Rio Brazilian Steakhouse, Osborne Road, Jesmond

Rating: 5

Review: "On the 27th I took my best friend, daughter and baby to Rios Jesmond, to be greeted by an extremely lovely hostess to then be seated and greeted by an extremely lovely waitress. The atmosphere was great, the staff were lovely and the food, don’t even know where to start about the food..... On another note as well when we were seated they brought a cushion over for my baby for the high chair so she could be more securely in the seat, also brought her a kid plastic plate like the ones we have at home and kept bringing out chips and dough balls to her which she adored (the chips are amazing as well). I cannot recommend this place highly enough and have told everyone it is worth it and have also told all my friends that this is where I plan on spending my birthday fantastic experience all around."

Name: Beirut Lounge Newcastle, Heaton Road, Newcastle

Rating: 5

Review: "Never disappoints! Yet again a fantastic meal out with friends over authentic delicious and perfectly prepared food. A must visiting if you’re in Newcastle for a few days, or if you’re local and have never been. Once you’ve been, you’ll want to come back again and again. Enjoy!"

Name: La Famiglia, Whickham View, Newcastle

Rating: 5

Review: "We only live a few miles from this restaurant but had never heard of it before visiting. A very relaxed, friendly atmosphere with excellent staff. I've had two different pizzas so far and both were excellent. The owner is very hands on and as the name suggests if feels like a family run business. Nothing is too much trouble. Staff are very friendly but strike the right balance in interacting with you and leaving you to enjoy your meal. It's priced very reasonably and has become a firm favourite with our family. We are sure to make plenty more visits in the future."

Name: Aidan's Kitchen, Starbeck Avenue, Sandyford, Newcastle

Rating: 5

Review: "Its great - simple. Nice inside, luckily we got there just before it got super busy. Friendly and great staff. Food was amazing. In fact the only downside was trying to choose something off the menu, as soon as I decided something else took my fancy! Food was excellent in quality and quantity."

Name: Lezzet Turkish Restaurant, Front Street, Benton

Rating: 4.5

Review: "We have been back pretty much every week for the last 6 or 7 weeks and we were back tonight for a quick bite which was fantastic yet again. The service and food is world class. Having just returned from a luxury retreat overseas I can honestly say the service and food was easily better at this lovely local restaurant. The staff are incredibly professional and the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and sets the tone superbly for a relaxing evening. Even a red rose on the way out the door with a warm farewell just ferments their commitment to service excellence."
