Best deals on food processors for Black Friday Cyber Monday 2024: Magimix, Cuisinart and more

If you’re a keen cook, a food processor is an invaluable kitchen tool.

Designed to mix, blitz, blend, purée, knead, shred, dice and grind every ingredient under the sun, they take the elbow grease out of meal prep, serving as a robotic kitchen butler that always gets the job done.

Food processors started as heavy-duty machines for industrial kitchens in the 60s, but by the 1970s a smaller version had evolved, marketed as an essential device for the devoted housewife (enter, the Magimix). The Magimix remains one of the most popular branded food processors and every device is still handmade in a French factory, 70 miles southwest of Dijon.

The coveted items somehow always wind up on a wedding registry or birthday wishlist.

Luckily, this Black Friday, the price of it and its cohort - think Magimix, Cuisinart, Ninja have been slashed in the mega sale. Expect jaw-dropping deals on everything from classic gadgets and tech to kitchen appliances, accessories and – of course – food processors.

Don’t forget that Black Friday is more about discounted kitchen appliances. This is the chance to strike through your shopping list for less, whether you’re shopping for Christmas gifts, need to give your interiors a spruce or fancy treating yourself to a little gift via a new beauty, tech or fashion purchase.

Magimix 4200XL Food Processor

Cause a culinary storm in your kitchen with Magimix’s Food Processor. This sleek piece of equipment will have all those tedious tasks - slicing, grating, chopping, whisking - completed before you even know it. The powerful piece of kit can knead up to two loaves and grates up to 1kg of vegetables.

It’s a sustainable option, with its energy-efficient and ultra-quiet motor - Quiet Mark approved - and it’s also guaranteed for 30 years. The Sabatier blades offer a touch of gourmet perfection and luxury, and each processor comes with BFA-free transparent bowls, an ultra-wide feed tube, two stainless steel Sabatier blades, two grating discs, two slicing discs, BlenderMix ring, dough-kneading blade, egg whisk spatula, storage box for blades and discs and a recipe book. Your kitchen will delight in this investment, and you will too.

Ninja 3-in-1 Food Processor & Blender

While few of us have our very own sous chef on hand to make life easier in the kitchen, this sturdy dream machine is the next best option. Unlike any other food processor we tested, it takes the guesswork out of cooking for top-notch results every time. Add an accessory and Ninja’s Auto-IQ technology will calculate exactly what program you will need and how long it should run for. It’s easy to override this and use the controls manually instead, but we found the automatic settings worked brilliantly for everything from cake mixes to chopped vegetables.

Everything you need is inside the box including a dough blade and reversible slicing/grating disc though beware, this is brutally sharp. Removable parts are all dishwasher safe for easy cleaning too. The machine also comes with a 2.1 litre blender jug and an additional 700ml single serve cup which is great for whizzing up individual drinks on the go.

Our only complaint? The powerful 1200W motor is seriously noisy so might not be the best choice in an open-plan kitchen or small flat unless you’re actively trying to annoy your neighbours.

Cuisinart 3L Expert Prep Pro

From chopping, mixing, slicing, grating, dicing and kneading, to blending, pureeing and spiralizing, the Cuisinart Prep Pro can truly do it all. While the average kitchen doesn’t normally require the sheer number of accessories that the Prep Pro comes with (13 to be exact), the device makes light work of lengthy food preparation for those who tend to plan out their meals for the week.

Perfect for batch-cooking, but a little bit tedious when employed for smaller meals, the Prep Pro is sure to be a welcome addition to the kitchen of a larger family home. What’s more, though you’ll need to make some room in your cupboard to accommodate the device, it’ll replace the need for any manual immersion blenders or smoothie blenders for good.

When does Black Friday end?

Despite its singular name, Black Friday spans the entirety of the Thanksgiving weekend and is followed up with the highly anticipated Cyber Monday on December 2.

Why is it called Black Friday?

Businesses and retailers who have otherwise been ‘in the red’ throughout the year can expect to be ‘in the black’ (profitable and booming) following post-Thanksgiving sales – hence the well-known moniker. This is one of the many theories behind the name.
