Benoit Badiashile has received wholesale praise following his Premier League debut, as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace by just a singular goal at Stamford Bridge.
The 21-year-old slotted into the Blues back four alongside Thiago Silva, Lewis Hall and Trevor Chalobah, as he ensured Graham Potter's side returned to winning ways after a disappointing spell af late.
Restricting Palace to very little across the 90 minutes, the clash will have served as no more than an early confidence booster to the former Monaco man, with the Eagles registering just five shots on target throughout.

Kai Havertz's strike just after the hour mark naturally grabbed the headlines, but Badiashile didn't look out of place in what has been a much-scrutinised Blues squad. The midweek loss against Fulham was a stark reminder of the task at hand for Potter this season.
Much has been made of Todd Boehly's outlandish spending since taking over from former owner Roman Abramovich, with Mykhailo Mudryk the next young star to land at Cobham ready to forge a successful career in west London.
''He's an excellent young player who has quickly established a strong reputation for himself and has a huge amount of experience for his young age,'' Chelsea's owner said after completing the signing earlier this month. ''We are sure he will form an important part of our team in the years ahead.''
''He was a joy to watch, the way he picked his passes and his composure was telling,'' one fan posted on social media. ''Not getting carried away yet but I hope he's him,'' another wrote soon after. His marker has been quite clearly set.
A trip to Anfield will soon tell of the credentials of the France international, with Potter's next test a mid-table maraud around Merseyside, as Chelsea look to make it back-to-back wins for the first time since October.
