Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Monaco star Benoit Badiashile after agreeing a £33.6million transfer fee. The Blues have already completed a deal for David Datro Fofana and remain in talks to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.
Chelsea have agreed a €38million (£33.6million) deal with AS Monaco for Badiashile, football.london understands. The defender is set to sign a six-and-a-half year deal at Stamford Bridge after agreeing personal terms with Graham Potter's side and completing a medical in London earlier this week.
Kalidou Koulibaly, Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella were all signed in the summer as Boehly now finalises his fourth defensive signing since completing a £4.25billion takeover at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea had identified the France international as a key defensive reinforcement following the injury to Fofana.

RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol has been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, as well as Evan N’Dicka of Eintracht Frankfurt. Badiashile made his France senior debut in September in the 2-0 win over Austria before starting in the following game against Denmark.
The 21-year-old has been capped at Under-16 level all the way through to Under-21, where he played alongside current Blues star Fofana. Badiashile is expected to come straight into the first team and bolster Potter's defensive options ahead of the second half of the season.
