Benjamin Nygren has revealed how he drowns out the "stupid" comments from Celtic doubters amid a slump in form before the international break.
The Hoops playmaker was part of the starting XI in their three most recent outings as they lost to Rangers twice and Ferencvaros in the Europa League.
The criticism came for the squad as well as manager Martin O'Neill but the Swedish international insists he tries to avoid listening to the media in particular who have had their say.
For the midfielder it can be perceived as "black and white" even though there are always mitigating circumstances for performances, results and outside issues.
"As you know, those of you who work in the media, it tends to be black or white," Nygren told Fotbollskanalen. "As a player, there's no point in going in and reading things that people write in moments like these. You don't gain anything by going in and reading stupid comments.
"There are so many people who care about how things are going and I see that as something very cool and nice. I just try to do my best all the time and as a team you can't always win every game, even though we aim to do so."
