Benie Traore is set to spark a Glasgow tug of war as both Celtic and Rangers pursue the Hacken forward.
According to The Sun , Michael Beale's side have made the first move and have had a '£2.8m offer rejected' by the Swedish side for their goalscoring hero. A youth international with the Ivory Coast, he has banged in 12 goals in 13 games this season for the reigning Allsvenskan champions and 'is available at around a knock down £5million.'
It backs up reports elsewhere on Sunday morning, that claim Rangers have Traore on a list of striker options as forwards like Cyriel Dessers are pursued. But returning Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers could throw a spanner in the works according to this report, having already signed Odin Thiago Holm from Norwegian side Valerenga this week.
