BENGALURU : Fourteen months after its completion, the city’s third railway terminal at Byappanahalli came to life on Monday, but on a quiet note.
What was supposed to be a grand opening of the Rs 314-crore centralised AC terminal turned out to be a low-key affair with no official flagging-off ceremony or formal inauguration. All such fanfare, South Western Railway officials suggested, will have to wait until the formal inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a later date.
