BENGALURU: Former Bengaluru city police commissioner Bhaskar Rao’s plan to foray into electoral politics is said to have created a flutter in the BJP ahead of next year’s assembly polls, even as the government is yet to clear the IPS officer’s application for voluntary retirement (VRS).
Rao, who applied for VRS in September 2021, is exploring his political options and was said to be seeking a ticket either from Congress or Aam Aadmi Party to contest from Basavanagudi.
