A Reddit user has shared a frustrating account of apartment hunting in Bengaluru, questioning whether a 2BHK with small bedrooms, limited furniture and a high annual rent increase justified a monthly cost of around Rs 70,000. The user said the flat was close to their office and located in an area they liked, but eventually walked away after the owner rejected an offer of Rs 65,000 with a three-month deposit.
The post, which focused on rising rental costs and what tenants receive in return, also questioned how much financial pressure workers should be willing to take on simply to live close to their workplace.
