A 26-year-old woman, wife of a police constable, died under suspicious circumstances at her residence in the KR Pura police quarters in Bengaluru, reports Times of India. Her family has accused her husband and in-laws of subjecting her to continuous mental and physical harassment after marriage. The deceased has been identified as Lakshmi Priya.
On May 22, 2026, around 2.30 pm, Priya allegedly sent the password of her mobile phone through WhatsApp to her younger sister Jayashree, raising suspicion among family members. When the sister saw the messages and immediately tried to contact her, she did not answer the calls.
