The Cincinnati Bengals don’t sound overly worried about the injury to Trey Hendrickson during Sunday’s win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Speaking with reporters on the Monday after the win, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Hendrickson’s injury would be managed throughout the week but that he should be good to go for Week 9.
That’s an important week to have one of the NFL’s best pass-rushers, considering the Bengals are on “Sunday Night Football” against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in a critical AFC showdown.
Hendrickson suffered the ankle injury against the 49ers when another player inadvertently stepped on him, but he eventually returned after a trip to the blue medical tent.
Taylor also said rookie wideout Charlie Jones could return from IR this week.
