On the first day of Cincinnati Bengals practice before the Week 10 game against the Houston Texans, the Ja’Marr Chase injury situation didn’t get much clearer.
Speaking with reporters, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Chase remains sore and will be limited, if he does anything at all.
That doesn’t paint a clear picture of Chase’s actual outlook for the game on Sunday, considering he doesn’t need to practice at all before being able to suit up anyway.
Earlier in the week, Chase had sounded pretty pessimistic about the situation, which stems from a hard fall he took during Sunday night’s win over the Bills.
Still, it’s clearly going to be a painstaking effort to read anything into the injury report this week, barring the team outright announcing he will or won’t play.
