One story that’s always fun to follow in the spring and summer is following undrafted free agents and their attempt at making the 53-man roster. One such player making his case at Cincinnati Bengals OTAs is WR Kwamie Lassiter II.
The former Kansas product, and son of former NFLer Kwamie Lassiter, has been making some noise during the offseason, as noted here by ESPN Bengals writer Ben Baby.
Lassiter accumulated 1,550 yards on 148 catches over four years in Lawrence, with seven touchdowns. He had his best year in 2021, with 59 catches, 653 yards and three touchdowns.
The competition for the last couple of wide receiver spots on the roster is going to be an interesting storyline to follow once the pads come on in late-July. Will Lassiter build on his impressive spring showing? We’ll soon find out.

Just caught a pass with the 1s in 7-on-7. Heard good things about him from others in the building.
