For the second time in the 2022 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals traded up, this time in the fifth round to select Toledo safety Tycen Anderson.
Anderson, 6’2″ and 209 pounds, is yet another very fast player taken in this draft by the Bengals, given his 4.36 time in the 40-yard dash. He’s a three-year starter who some projected to go in the third or fourth round.
The Bengals moved all the way up from No. 174 to No. 166 to make the move happen, trading No. 226 to Chicago in the process.
This pick followed the Bengals starting their day back in the fourth round with offensive lineman Cordell Volson out of North Dakota State, who will come in and compete right away.
