Speculation about the contract status of Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has run rampant in recent weeks.
Higgins was one of the notables to not report right at the start of voluntary workouts, which fueled speculation about his avoiding things for contractual reasons. After all, why risk injury at voluntary workouts and then risk a possible lucrative contract extension that could happen at any moment?
But while all have remained mum on the topic, fans could see Higgins in multiple workout videos with the team posted recently on social channels.
It doesn’t mean anything has happened on the contract front, but it’s worth noting that he is indeed in town and working. And the possibility of an extension between now and this summer remains on the table as the Bengals have geared up to get it done, if possible.
