Bengals’ Super Bowl run means ‘everything has now changed’ in free agency

The future of the Cincinnati Bengals looks very bright. That’s not just positive talk coming off a heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl LVI. That’s actually coming from NFL sources and NFL media.

NFL Network’s James Palmer discussed some things to look for during this offseason for the Bengals and he touched on how the perception of the Bengals has changed.

Palmer talked to people in Cincinnati’s front office after the AFC Championship and they discussed how the outlook for the Bengals in free agency is much better as it has become a place players may now want to come to.

“Everything has now changed. With the quarterback we now have and this Super Bowl run that they’re on, now you look at the way they are viewed by players in free agency,” Palmer said on NFL Network.

Over the last few offseasons, the Bengals were able to lure key free agents like Vonn Bell, D.J. Reader and Trey Hendrickson, showing they were finally ready to spend money. That may also change a bit.

“They may not have to overpay like they have in the past,” Palmer said. “They have guys now that would to come and perhaps play there with Joe Burrow and company.”

Palmer also got briefly got into the Bengals’ recent success in drafting and how it all comes together to give Cincinnati a better perception than they have in the past.
