The Cincinnati Bengals have found an apparent strong long-term starting running back with Chase Brown.
Given that this is the NFL and the committee approach tends to reign supreme though, it isn’t unreasonable to think the Bengals grab at least one running back in the 2025 NFL draft.
On that front, Bleacher Report’s Brent Sobleski just listed the best fits for some of the top backs in the upcoming class and mentioned the Bengals multiple times.
One fit? Ohio State’s Quinshon Judkins:
As expected, his workload decreased while sharing a backfield with TreVeyon Henderson. Judkins has over 100 fewer carries than in either of his initial two campaigns while sitting at 805 rushing yards and eight touchdowns. But he’s still a patient runner, with excellent lateral agility and the ability to break off chunk plays.
Buckeye fans will recognize the other name — TreVeyon Henderson, whose big-play ability can’t be denied despite his decreased workload this past season.
As of right now, one could see the Bengals picking a running back in literally any of the rounds next year. But something like Brown’s fifth-round selection recently might make the most sense given the offense and valuation of the position right now.
