The Cincinnati Bengals are getting some good news on at least one of their key missing pieces ahead of the divisional round against the Tennessee Titans.
That key piece? Elite pass-rusher Trey Hendrickson, who suffered a concussion during last week’s playoff win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor provided the update, as noted by Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic: “Progressing through the concussion protocol in a positive manner.”
In other words, Hendrickson is on pace to clear protocols in time for next weekend’s Saturday showdown in Tennessee. An advanced metric detailed how dramatically different the Bengals played without their star pass-rusher against the Raiders.
Taylor also revealed that defensive tackle Josh Tupou will go limited to start the week, which is more good news for the defensive line. Larry Ogunjobi, already on IR, will have surgery to fix his foot injury.
