Chase broke a franchise record and put his name all over the NFL history books with the performance, though it was Burrow looking like his old self that was the best news of all.

Exiting the game, players and coaches had plenty to say, too.

Before the Bengals turn their attention to the Seattle Seahawks, here are the must-know Bengals news, notes and quotes for October 9.

Zac Taylor on how he knew Burrow was good to go this week -- Bengals

Taylor says he knew this week that Burrow was much better off than he had been earlier in the season: “It’s hard for me to say. I thought this week he moved around a little bit better, so he had that sense as the week went. I can’t tell you how many times on the headset we said throw the ball away on his touchdown to Ja’Marr there on the goalline. We said it a lot. Those two just found a way to make a play and the line held the guys off of him. It was good to see him move around today. And again, like he said all year, it’s probably just going to get better and better each week.”

When Burrow got his confidence back -- Bengals

Burrow said the first touchdown pass of the game really helped him figure things out: “That was big, for that exact reason like you said. It’s something I haven’t been able to do for the last couple of weeks. When your quarterback can’t do that, can’t steal first downs, can’t extend plays, can’t find guys downfield, it’s tough to move the ball. So it felt good today and I’m going to continue to get healthier and I’m excited about that.”

Burrow talks testing the injury -- Bengals

More Burrow on how he figured out the calf as he went:

“There were several plays at the beginning of the game that I was testing it out, and that kind of led to some of the runs in the second half.” On whether scrambling for a first down gave him confidence with the injury: “It did, it did.”

Funny comment from Chase on worrying about Burrow: “I looked around and turned to (WR) Tee (Higgins) and said ‘Tee, what the hell is he doing?’ I don’t know if Tee heard me but I definitely have turned around at Tee like, ‘What the hell?'”
