As of this writing, the Cincinnati Bengals have roughly $36 million in free cap space.
That will soon change as the team rolls out roster moves that could include cuts, extensions for names like Joe Burrow and restructures. Then, it will head to free agency and re-sign some of its own players and outside free agents before onboarding a new draft class.
While it sounds complicated, the Bengals have been consistently great at managing the cap for a long time and even more recently while spending big on outside players.
That would explain the team ranking 30th in dead money against the 2023 cap, which is great. Here’s a look at cuts and other players counting as dead-money cap hits against the Bengals’ cap in 2023 so far.
