Exiting the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow gave one of his most candid interviews yet.
He also apparently walked through the building with a limp after his team fell to 4-8.
Burrow apparently took a cleat early in the game, according to the note from ESPN’s Ben Baby:
He had a very noticeable limp as he walked through the locker room after the defeat. He said he was cleated on his right leg on the first play of the game, which created a gash that caused significant bleeding. He will know more about how he feels physically on Tuesday, he said.
On first watch, Burrow didn’t appear to be limping during the game itself and had pretty good mobility throughout the contest.
Luckily for Burrow and the Bengals, it sounds like something that will clear up pretty quickly. They have a bit of an extended break before Week 14, where they’ll play on Monday night in Dallas against the Cowboys.
So far, Burrow has enjoyed a mostly healthy season and even overcame some of his own self-imposed question marks about his surgically repaired wrist in cold weather.
