Updating the continuing story surrounding OT La’el Collins, a potential free-agent target for the Cincinnati Bengals, he is now set to be released by the Dallas Cowboys, per Todd Archer of ESPN.
This was probably the likely ending, as the Cowboys were going to have a tough time getting a team to part ways with a draft pick for his contract. Now he’ll be a free agent and the Bengals will certainly still be in the mix.
Common ideas for teams interested in Collins are either the Bengals or the Patriots who ultimately land him.
According to Tyler Dragon of USA Today, the Bengals are in the mix alongside teams like the Dolphins:
I'm hearing the Dolphins are another team in the mix for Collins.

The Cowboys will release La'el Collins today, per source. Expected to be a post-June 1 cut, saves $10 million. No trade but Collins will have a good market once he's free to sign.
