The Cincinnati Bengals could have more coaching turnover than expected this offseason, courtesy of the Colorado Buffaloes and Deion Sanders.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Bengals defensive backs coach Robert Livingston will be named the defensive coordinator for Colorado after interviews on Wednesday.
Livingston has been a staple of the Bengals since roughly 2012 as a scout, and 2023 was his ninth season on the coaching staff after being one of the few select carryovers from the Marvin Lewis era.
Losing Livingston now at a critical time could be problematic for a Bengals team trying to get the most out of a young secondary, including Dax Hill, Cam Taylor-Britt, Jordan Battle and DJ Turner, the latter two rookies.
Like the quarterbacks coach position, the Bengals could potentially fill it from outside the organization.
