Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan has two more meetings with teams about vacant head coach positions this week.
According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, Callahan will meet with the Los Angeles Chargers on Tuesday and the Carolina Panthers on Thursday.
Callahan, one of the hottest names of the hiring cycle this year after the resounding success of the Jake Browning-led offense, has already completed interviews with the Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Falcons.
Both of Callahan’s meetings this week come with teams already equipped with high-profile quarterbacks in the former of Justin Herbert and Bryce Young. If he ends up getting a job, current quarterbacks coach Dan Pitcher would be the internal promotion for the Bengals.
In-person interviews aren’t permitted until January 22 during this hiring cycle.
