Kolkata: A teary eyed AJUP chief and Naoda MLA Humayun Kabir on Wednesday hinted at quitting electoral politics, a day after his arrest following a confrontation with police during Rejinagar bypoll, and claimed the BJP would win the Muslim-majority seat as it "looted people's mandate".
Kabir, who has emerged as a significant player in Bengal's minority politics, said he would not attend the state assembly as long as Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari remained in office, and apologised to the people of Naoda for the decision.
