A Benfica striker is reportedly 'dreaming' of a move to Manchester City in the summer transfer window. Darwin Nunez is having an incredible season for the Portuguese side. The 22-year-old has scored 26 goals in 33 appearances and is attracting the attention of some of the world's biggest clubs.
Record is reporting that Pep Guardiola has been keeping an eye on Nunez since 2020 and that there could be an opportunity for the Blues to add him to their ranks at the end of the season. It is believed that a fee of €80m will secure the Uruguayan's services.
However, it is widely believed that Erling Haaland is City's number one transfer target this summer. Manchester Evening News understands that a deal for the Borussia Dortmund striker being all but complete is slightly premature though.

Elsewhere, City have been described as taking a 'greater interest' in Matheus Nunes from Sporting. UOL columnist Bruno Andrade claims that the Portuguese side are ready to sell the midfielder at the end of the campaign.
Andrade reports that Sporting will accept a minimum of €40m for the midfielder who played against City in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 tie. A release clause of €60m is attached to Nunes' contract so Guardiola will not need to spend too much more to fully secure his services.
