Ben White 'punch incident' vs Bournemouth spotted amid Arsenal celebrations FA investigation

Arsenal star Ben White was involved in an incident with Bournemouth goalkeeper Neto during the 3-2 comeback win at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Gunners scored three times in the second half to overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit, with Reiss Nelson scoring in the last minute of injury time.

Fans, players and staff went wild celebrating the comeback as Arsenal picked up a crucial three points to stay five points ahead of Manchester City. The FA are now looking into the celebrations after Nelson's late winner against Bournemouth, football.london understands.

It is understood that referee Chris Kavanagh has reported these celebrations to the FA. The authorities are now thought to be investigating them, although it is not clear if Arsenal will receive any sanction for them.

Fans have now spotted an oversight from the FA after they started their investigation into the celebration scenes following the last-minute winning goal. After Nelson scored, White was seen celebrating right in front of Neto before joining his teammates.

The reason for the Arsenal defender celebrating in front of the Brazilian may now have an explanation after Neto seemed to 'punch' White in the back inside the penalty area during the match. The Bournemouth goalkeeper seemed to throw his fist into White's back as the Gunners looked to attack from a corner kick.

The incident has not been looked into by the FA as of yet despite the ongoing investigation regarding the celebrations that took place on the pitch after Nelson's dramatic winner. News on the FA's investigation into Arsenal's celebrations left the Gunners faithful far from impressed, with some flocking to social media to criticise Kavanagh whilst others joked that the so-called celebration police had won. Here is what a select few on Twitter said.

@PLCPolice : "Quite right (police emoji)."

@XavThe7th : "Richard Keys won."

@rowedegaard : "Fining for last minute limbs and showing a bit of passion? Sad state of affairs."
