Ben Howard will be appearing at Cardiff Castle later this year, it has been confirmed. The singer-songwriter, who is known for tracks such as What A Day and Only Love, will be headed to the Welsh capital on Sunday, July 23 - five years since his last Welsh gig.
The 35-year-old, who hails from Devon, announced details of his tour on social media. He wrote: “Heading back out on the road again! Starting off in Europe this Spring. Ticket presale this Wednesday 10am, general sale Friday 10am.”
Ben is returning after the success of his UK no.1 album Collections from the Whiteout. His Cardiff Castle performance will be one of the first opportunities to hear him perform his brand new material. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 24 at 10am and you can get them from Ticketmaster here.

Devon-born star Ben first came to the public’s attention in 2008 following the release of his EP Games in the Dark. Signed to Island Records, his debut studio album came in 2011 titled Every Kingdom. The album reached number four on the UK Albums Chart and was certified double platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). He has subsequently released four more albums.
