Ben Chilwell says there is more to come from Chelsea after the Blues slipped to a 1-0 first-leg defeat to Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League round of 16 clash. Karim Adeyemi scored the only goal of the night at Signal Iduna Park to leave it all to play for in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge next month.
Chelsea have scored just six goals in 11 games in all competitions since the season rebooted after the conclusion of the World Cup in Qatar. They have only won two of those matches, with Graham Potter having to integrate a host of new signings into his squad after a major transfer spend in January.
The Blues splashed more than £300million under new owner Todd Boehly in the winter window, bolstering Potter's squad with strength in depth, but also giving him something of a selection headache. That was apparent when Benoit Badiashile and Noni Madueke were both left out of the new squad for the Champions League knockout stages, with UEFA rules only allowing three new players to be registered. Joao Felix, Mykhailo Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez got the nod.
