Ben Affleck will be returning as Batman, as Jason Momoa lets slip Aquaman 2 cast

Jason Momoa let it slip that Ben Affleck will be returning as Batman in Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom.

Jason, 42, let the bat out of the bag on Instagram after he shared a snap of the pair after they were "busted on set".

The rumours were sparked after fans on a Warner Brothers studio tour spotted Ben's initials on the door of his trailer.

Jason was also spotted outside Ben's trailer and burst out laughing when he was spotted by the group of fans.

The Aquaman star took to Instagram to address the speculation with a photo of him and the newlywed sharing a moment.

"'REUNITED bruce and arthur," he said, making a reference to their DC comic superhero names of Bruce Wayne and Arthur Curry.

"Love u and miss u Ben," he continued.

"WB Studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j."

The actor apparently laughed when he saw the set visitors on a golf buggy and told them: "Well it's not a f****** secret anymore is it? Sorry children.

"That's what happens Warner Bros, when you walk out of your set and there's our fans, hey guys, have a good time... well, we tried to keep it a secret."

Jason's cheeky post collected responses from their showbiz pals including Josh Brolin, who wrote "hahahhahahaha", while Ian Somerhalder added: "F***** BOSSES."

Ben previously announced his retirement as Batman in 2019, detailing the difficulties he faced during his time in the role.

Despite this, the Hollywood hunk, who said "I do" to Jennifer Lopez in The Little White Chapel in Las Vegas earlier this month, is gearing up to star as Batman in upcoming film The Flash.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, he said: "I have never said this - this is hot off the presses - but maybe my favourite scenes in terms of Batman and the interpretation of Batman that I have done, were in the Flash movie.

"I hope they maintain the integrity of what we did because I thought it was great and really interesting - different, but not in a way that is incongruent with the character."

"Who knows? Maybe they will decide that it doesn’t work, but when I went and did it, it was really fun and really, really satisfying and encouraging and I thought, 'Wow - I think I have finally figured it out.'"

Ben made his debut as Batman in 2016 film Batman vs Superman: Dawn Of Justice, before returning to the role in 2017 for Justice League.

Jason's post comes just days after he was reportedly involved in a head-on crash with a motorcyle in Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, the actor's Oldsmobile Muscle Car struck the bike on his side of the road on Sunday.
