Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck put on a loved-up display as they attended the premiere for The Flash, but it was a "scripted and choreographed statement" according to an expert.
The couple shared a tender kiss in Los Angeles on Monday night as they posed in front of the cameras, while holding their arms around one another.
While it seemed like they are still in their honeymoon phase, body language expert Judi James has suggested Ben embraced and kissed his wife in front of the cameras through "gritted teeth".
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, she said: "The way the couple catch eyes to 'ask' each other about when to kiss and the way Ben seems to keep an amount of chatter going on shows they are seeking agreement to embrace.
"Ben even catches Jennifer's eye once before having a small 'moment' fail but then they fall into synch to touch lips."
Judi continued: "Jennifer looks smitten throughout, turning to face her husband and reach up for some adoring-looking kisses but Ben's subliminal signals suggest he's still less of a fan of posing up for the cameras.
"He keeps one hand slung casually in his pocket and his torso turned forward with his legs splayed and when he does pile in by tilting his head towards Jennifer for one pose, his smile looks forced, with a hint of what looks like gritted teeth.
"Jennifer is always pitch-perfect on the red carpet and during her press photo-shoots but Ben tends to look as though they're not his favourite thing."
Jennifer, 53, wore a black and pink zip-up gown which she left halfway undone to show off a hint of her cleavage.
The singer held onto a black clutch bag and styled her long brunette hair into a sleek ponytail. She added a bit of extra glamour to her look by wearing a pair of red earrings and a matching ring.
Ben decided to wear a smart black suit which he paired with a matching shirt. He styled his hair into a slight quiff and opted for an unshaven look.
The couple put on a united front on the red carpet and even gazed into each other's eyes while posing for pictures.
Speaking about their red carpet poses, Judi said: "In body language terms red carpet poses like this are like a PR scripted statement.
"Totally choreographed and utterly contrived they can still reveal some hints about a celebrity couple's authentic relationship."
She added: "The fact Ben and Jen are kissing and snuggling here does at least show up as an intentional gesture, i.e. this is what they want to say about their relationship, especially in the wake of the rather odd-looking and possibly misleading poses that had been circulating previously, making Ben look either bored and/or angry.
"Their hands in their hand clasp show meshed together fingers, which is a signal of closeness."
However, the expert warned that Ben's expression seems to change throughout the red carpet event.
"Ben's facial expression seems to veer in and out of smiles too quickly here to suggest he's having the best time.
"His eyes narrow and his mouth falls down again in between making an effort to look cheery."
Judi said the actor also relied on a pose from his first relationship with Jennifer, which ended with a failed engagement back in 2004.
"Sadly, it looks as though he even cracks open his old pose from the days of their first relationship.
"It was called the distracted kiss, where he would kiss a very devoted and loving-looking Jennifer while looking away into the distance.
"Most of his kisses this time around have consisted of closed eyes or his eyes on Jen’s face but here he is kissing her on the cheek while glancing away again," she said.
Ben is reprising his role as Batman in The Flash and stars alongside Ezra Miller, who has recently been battling a whole host of legal troubles.
