Beloved barber and 'true supporter' of Knights faces long road to recovery after crash

A veteran barber and "true supporter" of the Knights is staying strong in hospital and preparing for surgery after a horror crowd crash on grand final weekend.

Dave Martin, 67, has been hailed a hero for pushing two of his grandchildren out of the way in a split-second decision before he was struck by an allegedly out-of-control car at Wallsend on Saturday, October 3.
