Top pubs and restaurants across Ayrshire have been named amongst Scotland’s most loved bars as they make the final cut of the ‘hospitality Oscars’.
Troon’s new The Fox and Harley’s in Ayr are in the running for top gongs in the Scottish Bar & Pub Awards 2022, with winners to be announced next week.
More than 3,500 people across the country casted their vote online, putting local institutions in the running for the prestigious titles at the awards which shine a spotlight on all aspects of the hospitality industry in more than 24 categories.
Categories include Antos Dog Friendly Pub of The Year; Hi-Spirits Best Live Music Venue; The Busker Cocktail Bar of the Year and Kopparberg New Bar of the Year.
Ayrshire finalists in the running are:
• Aro Procurement Customer Service Award – The Fox & Willow, Ayr
• Hi Spirits Best Live Music Venue – Harley’s, Ayr
• HOSPO Manager of the Year – Lee Little, The Lido, Troon
• Independent Operator of the Year – Buzzworks, Ayrshire
• Kopparberg New Bar of the Year – The Fox, Troon
• The Busker Cocktail Bar of the Year – The Lido, Troon
Buzzworks Holdings is nominated for the Independent Operator of the Year Award, acknowledging their vast offering across beloved Scottish venues such as The Tree House, Scotts, The Mill House and The Lido.
The renowned Harley’s in Ayr’s Nile Court, nominated in the Hi Spirits Best Live Music Venue category, is a hotspot for music lovers and a huge supporter of the grassroots scene. The venue has welcomed the likes of Biffy Clyro, Ocean Colour Scene and VanIves across the years.
The Lido in Troon is nominated for not one, but two Scottish Bar & Pub Award categories including HOSPO Manager of the Year for Lee Little and The Busker Cocktail Bar of the Year.
The Scottish Bar & Pub Awards 2022, now in their 27th year, will announce all category winners at a glitzy award ceremony at The Doubletree Glasgow Central, on Tuesday, August 30.
