As well as receiving presents, Christmas is all about helping those in need, and that’s exactly how Bella Hadid spent her December 25th.
The 25-year-old supermodel posted to her 48m followers on Instagram that she decided to offer her assistance at Food Bank For New York City - a nonprofit organization that provides “food and hope to New Yorkers in need throughout the five boroughs.”
In the series of photos she shared, Hadid can be seen giving out groceries and toys at the Yankee Stadium in New York.
For the post caption, Hadid wrote: “My perfect Christmas ð @foodbank4nyc .. These are a few of my favorite things ð¤”
In the first photo, Hadid was masked and appeared cheerful in a selfie receiving a hug from fellow volunteer and photographer friend Renell Medrano, as they stood at a table with orange carrier bags full of food.
Her friend can be seen giving a woman musical toy tea party set in the second snap, and Hadid organised the grocery bags in the third. In the fourth and eighth the pair are stood behind the table waiting to assist those needing essentials.
She also shared a close-up of one of the many different kinds of toys the charity gives away - taco and burrito playsets.

Next in the photo series, Bella sported some sunglasses as she leaned over the table to sweetly interact and wave at a little boy.
Food Bank For New York City thanked Hadid for her help in the comments and wrote: “Love having you with us! Thank you for helping feed our NYC neighbors and putting a smile on their faces 𧡔
The model also received plenty of supportive messages from her celebrity pals and fans.
“Angel,” Paris Hilton said.
While Jen Atkin wrote: “That’s how you do it.”
“You are doing a good deed and I congratulate you,” one fan commented.
Another fan added: “PROUD of you always! Happy Christmas!”
Though not everyone had positive comments over Hadid photographing her good deed.
Someone wrote: “Something about photographing the needy doesn’t sit well with me…”
“It’s performative activism,” another agreed.
“But if you look at it in a way where they are bringing awareness for kindness and helping people it’s different,” a person said in Hadid’s defence.
Hadid posted earlier this week helping out at a toy drive, and wrote: “If you are able, please help give back this holiday season!!”
