Believe in Scotland teams up with local Yes groups for indy campaign day

A GRASSROOTS independence campaign day is set to take place next month in Inverness.

Believe in Scotland (BiS) has teamed up with local Yes groups to distribute regional pamphlets which put forward the case for Scottish independence.

It is the third regional campaign day organised by BiS, in a bid to connect people with more local issues affecting the independence vote.

The campaign day will take place on August 17 in Inverness, where activists will be delivering specially produced pro-independence materials through doors which are tailored to the region.

The regional campaign days hope to communicate to voters how independence benefits each local community across Scotland.

BiS aims to collaborate with other local Yes groups on campaign days throughout 2024 and is looking to plan future events in places such as Moray and Aberdeenshire – key areas where support for independence is not as high as in other regions.

The first regional campaign day took place in Moffat in May, where local indy groups were also joined by Yes Bikers and Future Voices Scotland to promote the case for independence in Dumfries and Galloway.

A second campaign day took place in Galashiels in June, where BiS were joined by Selkirk Pensioners for Indy, Yes Linton, Yes Tweeddale and Yes Berwickshire.

Those attending have been asked to arrive at the Yes Hub on 47 Huntly Street at 10.45am to set up. Groups will start distributing from 11am and will aim to regroup just after 1pm.
