Belgium and Canada meet in the World Cup later today in what feels like a meeting of two teams on opposite journeys.
The former, of course, finished third in 2018 and still boast a hugely talented squad but it’s hard to move away from the idea that this could be one tournament too far for many of them.
Canada, meanwhile, are largely a young team spearheaded by exciting talent playing in Europe’s big five league and are making their first appearance in the finals since 1986.
