Belfast student launches city's newest streetwear brand with unique selling point

A Belfast student has just unveiled a limited-edition clothing line with a unique selling point.

Belfast’s newest streetwear brand, Oneoflimited is the brainchild of Connor Scott from Ballyhackamore and was officially launched earlier this month.

Oneoflimited is a unique concept whereby all the products sold are numbered by production quantity. This number is displayed on all garments and according to Connor, showcases the exclusivity which comes from shopping outside of the high street.

Connor, 21, a law student at Ulster University, told Belfast Live: "My A-Level grades were adversely affected after not being able to sit my A2 exams due to Covid. I missed out on attending university overseas the following year as was my plan.

"So I preserved and worked as a trainee Electrical Design Engineer for the 17 months following my education at Lagan College. This is where I gained the capital to embark upon this new business venture but I didn't initially plan to take the idea any further."

Before launching Oneoflimited, Connor recently applied for the chance to be Lord Sugar's new business partner on the BBC's The Apprentice.

He said: "I was flown over to London for interviews with my new business idea and got through to the group stages and one-on-ones but nothing else came of it.

"Having that experience made me realise that Oneoflimited was a good idea and encouraged me to move forward with it."

He added: "Oneoflimited operates on a limited production basis and I think that's something that hasn't really been done before. The response to date has been really positive especially as it's such a new concept.

"In our first drop, there are only five of each item made which are numbered and each product will display the number of how many were made. Hopefully, people will get behind that unique standpoint.

"It's not just another clothing brand as there's something special about it. Our focus is on aesthetics, quality and producing items which are infinitely rarer than those on the high street," Connor explained.

"We also see our first drop as the perfect chance to invest. The items produced will be infinitely rarer than those to come. We welcome the future resale of our items for profit or just wearing our products and displaying their rarity."
